Restaurant Manager (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Restaurants)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant Manager to join the team at Himal Tandoori in Paignton.​

The candidate will assume responsibility for all aspects relating to the daily operation of the restaurant which includes:

• Maintain high standards of service, quality control, hygiene, and Health & Safety rules.​
• Respond and deal with customer complaints.​
• Manage all staff members in the agreed standard of food service during shift.​
• Verifies that quality of food, beverages and waiting service are as required and that kitchen and dining areas are kept clean in compliance with statutory requirements
• Plans and arranges food preparation in collaboration with other staff and organises the provision of waiting or counter staff including weekly rotas
• Checks that supplies are properly used and accounted for to prevent wastage and loss to keep within the budget limit.​
• Liaising with Head Chef on the development on menus
• Overseeing client bookings and reservations 
• Monitoring sales and then reporting to the restaurant owners.​

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:

• Demonstrable experience gained within a similar role and similar cuisine restaurant  
• High customer awareness by approaching the job with the customer always in mind
• To be motivated and committed to personal development, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities 
• To be adaptable, responding quickly and positively to any changes within the Restaurant
• To be able to maintain a high level of teamwork 
• Will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, good business awareness, ability to cope under pressure and strong organisational skills.​

Salary: £18,000.​00 - £18,000.​00 per year
