Play an essential role in Digby’s customer experience
As the Tasting Room & Hospitality Manager, you will play a critical role in building our business directly with wine consumers. You will be a key member of the team, working closely with the founders to deliver a magical set of experiences that represent the quality and style of our Fine English fizz.
Responsibilities As the Tasting Room & Hospitality Manager, you will take responsibility for:
- Managing the Digby Fine English Tasting Room and related hospitality
- Delivering exquisite experiences for our wine club, event and corporate customers
- The recruitment and management of part time Tasting Room staff. Planning and implementation of the rota structure and working hours to deliver maximum efficiency
- Weekly reporting on KPIs, devising and implementing initiatives to deliver target goals
- Managing the retail operations including inventory, resourcing, event management and customer service
- Collaborating with the rest of the wider Digby team to manage direct-to-consumer sales efforts in the Tasting Room, online and through direct engagement with customers
- Working closely with the Kenelm Club Manager you will drive acquisition of new club members and deliver luxury club member experiences
Qualifications To be successful in this role you will:
- Have sales and service experience in a front-of-house high-end hospitality setting
- Love delivering exquisite customer experiences that drive sales and customer loyalty
- Thrive on working in a customer-facing, results-driven role
- Be experienced in managing (or keen to quickly learn) the operations behind wine hospitality sales
- Be knowledgeable about or have an interest in learning about the luxury end of the wine industry
Working Hours Permanent, full-time role
- Initial rota to mirror Tasting Room opening hours of Thursday to Saturday noon – 8pm and Sundays noon to 4pm, with a short day on Wednesday for internal meetings
- Rota to develop as part-time team and opening hours are developed
- Note: Digby would consider part-time applicants for this role but would prefer a minimum of 25 hours per week
