About Domaine Evremond:
Domaine Evremond is an English Sparkling Wine brand, based in Chilham, Kent. After ten years of planning, the opening of Domaine Evremond’s Cellar Door and the commercial release of our Classic Cuvée will happen in late March 2025.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Financial / Administrative Manager to support the Finance Director by managing the day to day and monthly financial activities of the business as we launch in the UK in Spring 2025.
The ideal candidate would be proactive with a strong attention to detail, able to work independently. Wine Industry experience would be advantageous but not essential as would a knowledge of French language.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Accounting
Production of monthly management accounts, weekly cashflow reporting and ongoing budgeting
Process and submit quarterly VAT return ensuring all transactions comply with VAT regulations
• Management accounts
Reconciliation of all Balance sheet accounts
Updating of fixed assets
Month end closing procedures
Production of reports and analysis as required
• Stock Management
Using software to ‘produce’ the stock from grape to glass. Including accounting for all wine making processes
Managing the stock system ensuring all stock movements are correctly accounted for and any duty and vat payable is declared and paid in a timely fashion.
Managing stock system of POS and packaging items.
Assisting the auditors at Annual Stock check
• Sales Ledger
Responsible for processing and invoicing any sales invoices to agency, FBT and customers in addition to cellar door and online sales
Daily reconciliation of cellar door sales and bookings
Credit control, statement runs and liaising with customer on queries
• Purchase Ledger
Processing of invoices, obtaining approval and preparation of payment run for review, remittance advice emails and fielding queries from suppliers. Reconciliation of statements.
Creating, processing and receiving purchase orders
Processing and payment of staff expenses claims
• Bank and Cash
Daily banking processing and reconciliation
Managing cashflow to ensure all stakeholders
are paid in a timely manner managing cash receipts to offset
• Other
Providing accurate payroll information to outsourced bureau
Updating process notes for all financial and admin procedures
General Office Administration
