Denbies Wine Estate Ltd one of England's largest vineyards, is currently recruiting Vineyard Workers
We are dedicated to producing high- quality wines and are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
The successful applicant will be trained in, and expected to become highly proficient in the following tasks:
- Winter pruning and tying down of fruiting canes.
- Trellis repair and maintenance
- Bud rubbing
- Shoot thinning
- Wire lifting, vertical training
- Leaf stripping
- Crop thinning
- Grape harvesting
- Bottling
Further Information:
Denbies is one of the largest single estate in the UK with over 15 varieties of grapes and multiple micro-climates. This makes it one of the most interesting vineyards to learn about grape growing.
- An interest in viticulture and wine production is encouraged.
- Key attention to detail
- Be hard working and willing to work extended hours during busy periods of the year
- Ability to lift 25kg
- A level of fitness to be able to work on your feet for the entire day
- Over 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Willing to work in all weathers
Working with the Vineyard Manager, the current Vineyard Worker is a long-term role, and there are very significant advancement prospects for someone with the right work ethic and drive.
