We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Assistant Manager to join our vibrant wine shop and bar team. As a key leader within the team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Your role will involve supervising staff, collaborating with both front-of-house and kitchen team members, and ensuring compliance with food safety and operational standards.
Duties
- Support the management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth customer service flow and adherence to company standards.
- Share a passion for wine, making wine accessible to everyone with your sales technique
- Supervise and motivate staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance. Delegating roles and responsibilities on each shift so everyone’s role is clear for exceptional service.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, food, and supplies, informing management of low stocks
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean, organised environment throughout the venue.
- Assist in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive guest experience at all times.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere for guests.
- Contribute to staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts
- Participate in team meetings, sharing ideas for improving service quality, staff efficiency, and overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A passion for wine and/or formal qualifications and experience in the wine industry
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and operational regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate staff.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A passion for delivering high-quality service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of bar and kitchen operations is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £22,000.00 per year
