VinumTerra has a new and exciting Sales Executive role based in Edinburgh the would be well suited to a motivated, sales-and-service-focused individual with knowledge of wine and the on and off-trade.
VinumTerra was founded in 1991 and has remained a family-owned business servicing the on and off trades in the U.K since and with a presence in Scotland for a decade. We have a diverse portfolio of wines from 52 producers in 10 countries with most depth in our Italian offering. We pride ourselves on the service we provide to our customers and the strong relationships which we maintain.
We are looking for a results-driven Sales Executive to actively seek out and engage prospective customers in Scotland. The successful candidate will have the support of our logistics, sales and marketing teams to help to turn prospects into customers and will also support these departments in their role in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition and profitability. The successful candidate will be tasked with growing business development in Scotland primarily to the on and off trade. As part of a small team in Scotland, the successful candidate will be trained in the logistics side of our warehouse and will be able to provide cover for our delivery driver when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have either a Drinks Sales background or come from the HORECA (hospitality) sector to have a working understanding of the wine industry and on and off trade sectors in Scotland. B2B sales, client relations and business development are key tasks in this role, reporting directly to the National Account Manager.
WSET qualifications are not essential as training can be provided, however a passion for wine and wine knowledge is required.
Requirements
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Proven background in HORECA or Off-Trade; an understanding of requirements of Hospitality businesses
• Proficiency in written and spoken English as a minimum.
• Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations to customers and prospects.
• A trustworthy, fast learner with passion for sales and service
Beneficial
• MS Office (especially Outlook and Excel)
• An understanding of CRM practices using SAGE.
• A clean UK/EEA driving license.
