Hambledon Vineyard is recruiting a new cellar assistant.

The Cellar Assistant will be responsible for carrying out all post-production work planned and will be overseen by the Cellar Supervisor.

They will assist in keeping all production activities safe, qualitative and finished within timescales provided.

 

Job title : Cellar Assistant.

Location: Hambledon, Hampshire.

Reporting to: Cellar Supervisor and post-production manager.

Working with: Cellar Supervisor, Cellar Assistant, Winery Assistant, Agency workers.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm with flat rate overtime during bottling / harvest / as required to the business needs.

Duties and responsibilities:

·        Assisting disgorging operations

·        Assisting all labelling operations, by hand or machine

·        Assisting the reception of goods and dispatch of orders

·        Keeping the equipment clean and serviceable

·        Keeping the cellar tidy

·        Assisting in keeping the workplace a safe working environment

·        Assisting in maintaining appropriate records

·        Assisting with Bottling and Harvest

·        Assisting the Cellar Supervisor with inventory movements and reconciliation.

      Education and experience:

·        A reasonable level of spoken and written English 

·        Previous experience in a winery and cellar not essential but favourable 

·        Forklift licence an advantage 

·        Driving licence ideal due to the location 

·        Self-motivated and well organised 

·        Reliable 

·        Attention to detail. 

·        The right to work in England (we cannot sponsor any Visa) 

Salary: £24000 -£26000 dependent on experience. Overtime at flat rate.
