To achieve this goal, we are looking for a Cellar supervisor to manage our cellar team.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Cellar supervisor.
JOB TYPE: Full Time.
SALARY: Depending on experience (40h/week) + flat rate unlimited overtime at harvest and bottling.
REPORTING TO: Postproduction manager.
WORKING WITH: Winemakers, Winery supervisor, Cellar and winery assistants, seasonal staff.
OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:
· Conducting and supervising the day-to-day operations in the cellar for the Hambledon vineyard wines and for all Hambledon vineyard contract winemaking customers from bottling to dispatch of orders.
§ Responsible for safely operating all cellar equipment, adherence to PPE policies, identification of risks and hazards, and recommendations for improvements to reduce and/or eliminate any unsafe conditions.
§ Maintains mechanical production equipment including changeovers, troubleshooting, and light repairs
§ Helping the winery crew during bottling periods.
§ Riddling operations on the gyropalettes.
§ Disgorging and labelling operations on our semi-automatic line.
§ Assisting with the reception of goods and dispatch of orders.
· Ensuring of the quality of all post-production procedures.
· Assisting with periodic bottles and dry goods stock check.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES:
· Good level of spoken and written English.
· Relevant Wine degree will be favourably considered.
· Previous experience in the same role will be highly considered.
· Forklift licence and telehandler license a plus. (We will provide full training if needed)
· Valid driving licence.

· Mechanically skilled an advantage.
· Problem solving.
· Ability to work long hours, night shifts and weekends when required.
· Ability to lift 20kg.
