Langham Wine Estate are producers of world-class English Sparkling Wine. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our small team based close to Dorchester, Dorset. The chosen candidate will be responsible for a range of sales and marketing tasks, working closely with the owner, winemaker and vineyard manager to ensure continued growth of the business.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Manage trade sales to meet monthly sales budget. 

• Liaise with tasting room manager and occasionally help when short staffed in the tasting room and with online sales.

• Organise and attend events both on and off the Estate

• Manage social media accounts

• Respond to customer and general enquiries

• Manage website and liaise with web developers

• Write and send out regular newsletters to Trade customers and website database contacts

• General administration and office support

• Build relationships with wine critics and journalists to ensure good media coverage

• Manage existing sales accounts and develop new accounts

• Develop national distribution and export opportunities

• Manage entries for competitions

• Design and produce marketing material, such as flyers, tasting leaflets and adverts.

• Producing Tech sheets for new releases.

• Managing company calender, holiday forms and interaction with cafe

• An enthusiastic and outgoing individual who is self-driven and has the ability to use their own initiative

• Organised and efficient with attention to detail

• Willingness to attend external events and work flexible hours to meet the demands of the job

• Able to act as a brand ambassador and communicate our passion for English wines and Dorset produce

 

Required skills/experience

• Sales and customer service experience

• Computer literate with good Microsoft office skills and confident with social media platforms

• Full, clean UK driving license essential; ability to tow a trailer desirable

• Experience of working in the wine trade and/or wine-related qualifications would be beneficial but not essential

 

This is a permanent, full-time, on site position beginning with a 6 month probationary period

 

Salary commensurate with experience, five weeks paid holiday and free wine allocation.
