Group Buyer (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Jeroboams Limited is a dynamic medium sized wine retailer and merchant comprising Divisions serving restaurants and corporate clients, private accounts and through our 8 central London wine shops, the retail customer. Focussing on high quality wines offering value at most price points we are looking to recruit a Group buyer in our Head Office in Islington, London N1.

Reporting to the Wine Director, the successful applicant will have responsibility for sourcing our portfolio for both our retail and trade divisions, managing relations with over 100 suppliers to make sure the portfolio meets the commercial requirements of the business.

Key Duties

• Carry out annual costings review and price negotiations for the core portfolio, ensuring target margins are maintained.
• Sourcing of parcels for retail and trade divisions.
• Maintain and strengthen supplier relations through regular contact and sharing of information.
• Ensure portfolio remains relevant and competitive through regular tastings.
• Secure and manage reserves of stock
• Help with selection of products and procuring supplier support for promotional offers.
• Carry out Quality Control tastings and maintain records on newly shipped wines. 

Skills and Experience

• At least 4 Years’ experience in a buying role
• Good command of Italian and French
• High level of wine knowledge. WSET Diploma desirable.
• Organised and Analytical
• Confident, with excellent interpersonal skills
