This pivotal role requires a strong foundation in cool-climate viticulture, with the ability and flexibility to deliver multiple viticulture activities together with reporting and managing customer relations.
The Vineyard Technician must be motivated to achieve premium results for each client, including:
- Scout for disease, pests, nutrient deficiencies, phenology, and general vineyard health and performance.
- Train, supervise and work with operatives during vineyard activities e.g. shoot selection, pruning, harvesting etc.
- Undertake tractor operations e.g. mowing, cultivating, spraying, trimming etc.
- Record keeping and reporting details of vineyard activities and management requirements to the Viticulturist.
- Engagement with and support of clients annual vineyard programs.
As well as the core requirements it is like the right candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the Vinescapes wider business, which includes research, training etc. together with ad hoc work, as requird.
This role is based cira 85-90% at client sites in the South of England (Hamshire and surrounding counties) with the remainder office based in Surrey.
