Uniquely, Christopher Piper Wines is directly involved in wine production and making as the Chairman, Chris Piper, is an oenologist working in the Beaujolais region.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Salesperson to join our growing team on-site in South West England. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, building relationships with new and existing clients, and contributing to the overall growth of Christopher Piper Wines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within South West England.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored wine solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Conduct wine tastings, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase our products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies and share best practices.
- Work closely with customer services & logistics team.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up on sales leads.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the wine or beverage industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Passion for wine and good knowledge of wine and the industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the South West England market is a plus.
- WSET qualifications level 3 or 4 would be a real advantage.
- Previous use of CRM systems such as Hubspot or Pipedrive would be advantageous.
- Strong IT skills are essential, especially a confident ability to use MS Office.
