The world-class sparkling wines of Sugrue South Downs are the personal project of celebrated winemaker Dermot Sugrue, in collaboration with his winemaker wife Ana, and thier small team of dedicated vineyard professionals. Together their manage four exceptional and mature vineyards  across the South Downs of East and West Sussex.
Sugrue South Downs is looking for a Marketing Director who is going to improve the performance of the business by implementing effective marketing strategy across all sales channels, but mainly DTC.

Full time position starting in September/ October.

Marketing Directors responsibilities and duties include:
  • Working with the directors to develop long term brand positioning and marketing plans
  • Build scale of database
  • Managing Offline and Online media campaigns 
  • Working closely with PR, Website Management and Creative Designers 
  • Managing content and strategy for Social Media accounts (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)
  • Managing tours and tastings both onsite at the winery and with partners
  • Coordinating all media channels, making sure that the message is consistent and cohesive 
  • Identifying new revenue opportunities and providing a plan to execute them
  • Copywriting newsletters and google ads
  • Events planning 
  • Seeking out and managing collaborations with other brands
  • Attending meetings and marketing events
  • Monthly and periodical reports to the Board of Directors and shareholders
Required  
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in wine sales and marketing 
  • Wine knowledge (WSET Level 3) 
  • Advanced Computer Knowledge
  • Good understanding of Marketing analytics
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong copywriting abilities
  • Working from the Sussex office 2-3 days a week (rest can be WFH)
  • Driving licence

Salary £40k+ depending on qualifications and experience
